PREP COOK / We are searching for an enthusiastic energetic person for our opening & morning prep from Monday to Friday, 8 am - 3 pm.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Prep Cook to join our culinary team. As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen by assisting in food preparation and ensuring that all ingredients are ready for our chefs to create delicious meals. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for the food industry and are eager to learn and grow in a restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
Ensure that all food is prepared according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Support the head cook or chef in various tasks as needed.
Skills
Knowledge of food handling techniques and safety practices.
Experience working in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
Familiarity with basic cooking techniques and equipment used in food preparation.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field.
